I graduated Bemidji State University (GO BEAVERS!) in May of 2017. I hold a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, and Mathematics with Emphasis in General Mathematics and Applied Mathematics.
My professional career begins at Open Systems International, Inc. in Medina, Minnesota in 2018. I began there as a Software Engineer in Test that focused primarily on keeping the test systems running smoothly, as well as automating as much as possible. In time I was moved to the developing DevOps team as a Build Engineer where I designed and deployed the infrastructure to begin the team. Additionally I led the company wide conversion from Subversion to GitHub.
In the Spring of 2021 I joined the team at Sovos Compliance, LLC as a Senior Software Engineer on the Cloud Ops Team. Among my first tasks were to redesign, build, and deploy a new Artifactory server on premises, as well as perform the cutover when complete. Additionally I developed a solution to automate deployments of scheduled tasks to production servers.
Currently I deploy software to development and production environments, as well as performing dry run upgrades of critical systems in advance of planned upgrades in order to accurately estimate down time. I also evaluate different solutions by setting up sandbox environments for testing purposes such as Grafana, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, and Prometheus.
